THE CLASSIC SPORTING ART OF BOB WHITE We are truly honored to have been selected by Bob and Lisa White to offer their quality Limited Edition Sporting Prints and their ever popular note card collection! In addition to their talent, Bob and Lisa White are a wonderful couple! When we first met Bob and Lisa and informed that we are makers of custom bamboo fly rods, they showed us the limited edition print "Bamboo". We had to have this print! It now hangs proudly within our shop for all to see and appreciate. This print says it all about the craft of bamboo fly rod making! We think another one is needed for our home! We have known for several years of their fine work; especially the "Small Fry" card line that has always been very popular. We have always used their "Small Fry" cards for sending a personal message to family, friends or clients. We will also be offering the Small Fry cards in the very near future. All of Bob White's Limited Edition Prints come signed and numbered by the Artist. All prints will be shipped to you "flat", not rolled up as some galleries do. The prints come unframed, but if you would like to have one framed, just contact us for framing options and pricing. About the Artist: Bob White is an artist whose work is truly an expression of his experiences. A professional guide and artist for two decades, he has spent countless hours researching sportsmen and women in action; from the wilderness of Alaska and his rural Minnesota home to the wide-reaching expanses of Argentina. Bob has been influenced by such masters as Homer, Sargent and Fournier, and by more recent artists, such as Pleissner, Jacques, and Sloane. He works in watercolors, oils, pencil and ink, grasping the essence of a scene in a brief sketch. His ability to capture a fleeting moment through the eyes of a sportsman has won him worldwide acclaim. His work hangs in the private and corporate collections of sportsmen on six continents. Bob guided in Southwest Alaska and has nearly two decades of experience there as a fishing and wing shooting guide. He also guided sportsmen in Argentina for a decade, and continues to host fly fishing and wing shooting trips to Patagonia, Alaska, Kamchatka and other destinations. The photographs that he takes of his guests in the field frequently appear in national publications and are often used as reference material for field and stream portraits.Bob was awarded Guide of the Year in 1988 by Fly Rod & Reel Magazine. As the 1994 Artist of the Year for the Alaska State Parks Foundation, Bob produced and donated the artwork for the first Alaska State Parks Foundation print. His work has been presented twice in Fly Rod & Reel Magazine's Gallery. Bob has been featured as a guide and artist on ESPN's "Fly Fishing the World" and "Fly Fishing America", as well as on Ron Schara's "Minnesota Bound". Bob has lived in Marine on St.Croix, Minnesota for over a decade with his wife, Lisa, his children Jessica, Jakob, Jamie and Tommy, and their dog, Gus.
